Your charter doesn’t have to follow a set itinerary. Once you’re on the water, the day can unfold around your group.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY

IS THE BOAT PRIVATE?

Yes. Your charter is reserved exclusively for your group, with space for up to 13 guests total. You’ll have the boat to yourselves for the entire charter.

DO WE HAVE TO SPEND THE WHOLE DAY AT CRAB ISLAND?

Not at all. Make Crab Island the centerpiece, cruise Choctawhatchee Bay or find a quieter place to anchor along the way.

CAN WE BRING FOOD & DRINKS?

Yes. Bring your own food and drinks, or arrange catering in advance. Your specific charter page will show what's already provided aboard your boat.

HOW LONG SHOULD WE BOOK?

Four hours works well for a classic Crab Island day. Six or eight hours gives you more time to slow down, explore the bay and enjoy the boat without watching the clock.

A PRIVATE CHARTER, WITH A CAPTAIN YOU SELECT

You’ll select a licensed captain from our approved captain list who will operate the boat and help shape the day around your group.

Because CILA operates bareboat charters, your captain is selected and paid separately from the boat. We’ll make that process clear during booking.

From start to finish, this was one of the best boat cruises my family and I have ever been on. The boat was exactly as advertised—spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for. The attention to detail immediately stood out and set the tone for an exceptional experience.

What truly made this trip unforgettable, however, was Captain Jeffrey Kelly and his deckhand, Ken. In my line of work, I’m naturally cautious and don’t easily place my trust in others, especially when my family’s safety is involved. From the moment they introduced themselves, their genuine personalities, Southern hospitality, and professionalism immediately put us at ease. They were knowledgeable, personable, and made the entire trip feel relaxed, enjoyable, and effortless.

By the end of the cruise, it felt less like we had hired a charter and more like we had spent the day with good friends. My family enjoyed every minute of the experience, and when we return, there is no question who we’ll be calling. Captain Jeffrey Kelly and Ken exceeded every expectation and made this a trip we’ll be talking about for years to come.

I cannot recommend them enough. My little girls also said this was the best day ever and told me how much they enjoyed them. As a parent, it made it worth every penny.
