Renting a pontoon at Crab Island is one of the most relaxed and affordable ways to experience the emerald waters of Choctawhatchee Bay. Our private bareboat pontoon rentals depart from Cessna Landing Park in Santa Rosa Beach and are ideal for families, small groups, and guests staying along 30A who want a comfortable day on the water.

If you’re looking for an easygoing, open-air boating experience, a pontoon is a classic choice.

Why Choose a Pontoon for Crab Island?

Pontoons are popular for a reason:

  • Spacious open layout with comfortable seating

  • Easy boarding for kids and older guests

  • Shade coverage for hot Florida afternoons

  • Smooth cruising in calm bay waters

How Our Pontoon Rentals Work (Bareboat Charter)

Our pontoon rentals operate under a bareboat charter agreement.

This means you are renting the vessel itself for your reserved time. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a list of licensed captains familiar with the vessel. You may contact the captain of your choice directly to coordinate crew services.

Captain and crew fees are paid separately, as required by U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

Pontoon vs. Catamaran: Which Should You Choose?

We offer both options because different groups want different experiences.

Pontoon – Casual & Easy

Best for relaxed family outings, smaller groups, and guests prioritizing simplicity and value.

Catamaran – Spacious & Elevated

Private Catamaran at Crab Island

Our catamarans depart from Baytowne Marina in Miramar Beach and are popular for bachelorette parties, celebration weekends, and groups wanting a more spacious, photo-ready setup.

If your group is larger, celebration-focused, or looking for an upgraded layout, you may want to explore our catamaran charters instead.
